Personal Information Policy

 

Managa Co., Ltd. sets forth and implements the following privacy policy, applicable in all cases, out of a full understanding of the significance of the security of all personal information.

 

  1. We acquire personal information using appropriate methods. Furthermore, this information will only be utilized within the scope of specific objectives, except when otherwise mandated by laws and ordinances. We will take measures to prevent any usage outside of these objectives. Furthermore, except when otherwise required by laws and ordinances, we will never provide personal information to any third parties without the individual's consent.

  2. We will take appropriate security and control measures to prevent and remedy any and all risks of unauthorized access to, leaks of, or loss or damage to personal information.

  3. A contact point is available for any consultations and concerns regarding the use of personal information, and we will work in good faith to address any concerns as such.

  4. We will abide by the laws and ordinances, statutes, national policies, and all other regulations regarding the use of personal information.

  5. We have constructed and will work continuously to improve our management system for personal information security.

Handling of Personal Information

 

Managa Co., Ltd. (hereinafter the "Company") shall manage personal information with due care in accordance with the following provisions.

 

1. Purpose of Use

The Company will use personal information for the following objectives upon acquisition.

(1) Usage relating to products (including services associated with products, hereinafter "Products") and

      services (hereinafter "Services") provided by the Company.

  [2] Information regarding or other promotion of Products or Services

  [3] Improvements to Products or Services, including the development of new content and Services

  [4] Confirmation of requests for Products or Services, identity confirmation, and prevention of 

              unauthorized use

  [5] Billing usage fees for Products or Services

  [6] Contacting users of Products or Services

  [7] Responding to inquiries from users of Products or Services

  [8] Implemented for use in marketing surveys and trend analysis on Products or Services

  [9] Refunding users upon the termination of Products or Services

  [10] To seek consent in the event that the Company initiates any new usage of said personal information

  [11] Publishing on the official Company website, Company social media accounts, or associated video

               sharing websites

  [12] Publication, screening, or distribution in newspapers, magazines, websites, television, and other

               media to which the Company grants permission

  [13] Other usage within the scope of separate consent provided by the users of Products or Services

(2) Usage relating to hiring considerations

  [1] As guidance on Company profile information and hiring conditions for recruitment

  [2] In the conduction of evaluating potential hires

  [3] For notifications of evaluation results to potential hires

*The personal information of individuals selected for hiring will be used for Company HR purposes following employment.

 

2. Disclosure of Personal Information by Company

The Company shall respond promptly in the event of a request for the disclosure, etc. of personal information the company discloses (referring to parties with the right to request disclosure, etc. as set forth in Paragraph 5, of the personal information held by the Company. The same shall apply hereinafter). See Paragraph 5 for means of requesting disclosure, etc. Furthermore, the purposes for the use of personal information subject to disclosure by the Company are as indicated in the preceding paragraph.

 

3. Contact point for issues relating to handling of personal information subject to disclosure by the Company

Any issues or complaints relating to the handling of or disclosure of personal information by the Company shall be directed to the point of contact as mentioned in Paragraph 5.

 

4. Provision of personal information to third parties

(1) In the event the Company provides personal information to any third parties, the consent of the individual

      shall be obtained in advance, specifying the parties provided to and scope of information provided.

      However, this shall not apply in the following cases.

  [1] Cases pursuant to obeying laws and ordinances

  [2] Cases in which the provision of personal information occurs over the course of business continuity

             through a merger or other similar circumstance

  [3] Cases in which disclosure is required for the protection of life, health, or property, when it is difficult

             to obtain the individual's consent

  [4] Cases in which there is a particular need for the promotion of the healthy development of children and

             public health, when it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent

  [5] Cases in which it is necessary to cooperate with the national or local governments, or a party

             appointed as such, to execute affairs prescribed by law, and in which obtaining the individual's consent

             is deemed likely to impede the execution of such duties.

(2) Users shall provide in advance consent such that the Company may provide personal information to third

      parties for services such as Company payment processing, data analysis, email services, web hosting,

      custom services, etc., and for the provision of marketing support.

 

5. Contact and methods relating to notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, amendment of content, addition to or deletion from, suspension of use, deletion of, or suspension of provision to third parties of personal data obtained by the Company.

(1) Users have the right to request notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, amendment of content,

      addition to or deletion from, termination of use, deletion, and suspension of provision to third parties of

      personal data obtained by the Company. Please direct any such requests physically to the following address

      in order to ensure accuracy. The Company does not accept visits, calls, or emails.

(2) Please send the following documents for requests as set forth in item 1. Please note that the Company may

      be unable to respond if the content of such documents contains inaccuracies or are otherwise insufficient.

 

Documents Sent for Requests

  [1] Personal data disclosure request form

  [2] Personal identify documentation of the person to whom the request pertains (a copy of a driver's license, passport, My Number card, status of residence card, health insurance card, pension handbook, or other official documentation)

*Please submit 2 items if they do not include photographs.

*When sending these documents, please black out any personal information requiring special consideration (see note) to obscure it from your submission.

  [3] In the event the request is made by a proxy, proof of power of attorney from the person to whom the

              request pertains and documents verifying the identity of the proxy

  [4] Requests for disclosure will require a request surcharge (a 500 yen postal money order or stamp)

(3) Personal information newly acquired over the course of requests as stipulated in the preceding item shall be

      handled only to the extent necessary for responding to said request In sending a request, the user consents

      to these points.

(4) The Company will reply to requests pursuant to item 1 by postal mailing of the "notice of personal

      information disclosure decision" or "notice of personal data non-disclosure decision," or through methods

      the user has consented to separately.

(5) In the event that requests as set forth in this paragraph cannot be addressed for reasons of violation of laws

      and ordinances, we will give notice to such effect and provide the reasons therefor.

 

6. Amendments

The Company may amend the content of this "Handling of Personal Information" in whole or in part, as deemed necessary. In the event of significant changes, the Company will provide notice via its official website.
